Community & Safety Guidelines

Who can buy and sell

Anyone can browse, chat and buy. To post a listing you must sign in with a verified campus email (@vnit.ac.in or @students.vnit.ac.in) — that keeps every seller a real VNIT member.

What you may not list

• Alcohol, tobacco, vapes, drugs or any illegal substance.
• Weapons, or anything banned by the hostel or institute.
• Exam material, assignments or anything that aids cheating.
• Counterfeit goods, stolen items, or someone else's property.
• Services that break institute rules, or spam and duplicate posts.

Trade safely

• Meet in public campus spots — canteen, library steps, Gymkhana.
• Inspect and test the item before you pay.
• Pay by UPI or cash on delivery. Never pay an advance to hold an item.
• Keep the conversation inside OLeX VNIT chat.

Be decent

No harassment, hate speech, threats or spam in chats or listings. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated across the mess table.

Reporting & enforcement

Anything off? Use Reporton a listing or a member's profile. Reports are private and reviewed by the OLeX VNIT admins, who can remove listings or members that break these rules.
